On the activity of the isotope laboratory irradiation service and tracet laboratory

Description

The isotope laboratory is a working group in the radiochemistry institute. Their task is the preparation of radionuclides by irradiation in the FR 2 or in the cyclotron, supply, dispatch and distribution of radioactive materials in the centre and to external customers, labelling of organic compounds and chemical processing of irradiated targets to the obtaining of special fission products. The isotope laboratory was founded in 1960 as the central group to supply all institutes with radioactive materials in the research centre and is entrusted with the storage and subdivision of these substances within its equipment. Abstract (German)

Die Isotopenstelle ist eine Arbeitsgruppe im Institut fuer Radiochemie. Ihre Aufgabe ist die Herstellung von Radionukliden durch Bestrahlung im FR 2 oder im Zyklotron, Beschaffung, Versand und Ausgabe von radioaktiven Stoffen im Zentrum und an externe Kunden, Markierung von organischen Verbindungen und chemische Aufarbeitung von bestrahlten Targets zur Gewinnung spezieller Spaltprodukte. Die Isotopenstelle wurde 1960 als zentrale Gruppe zur Versorgung aller Institute mit radioaktiven Stoffen im Forschungszentrum gegruendet und ist mit der Lagerhaltung und Unterteilung dieser Substanzen innerhalb ihrer Einrichtungen betraut.
