Preparation of the target for the production of 64Cu for PET diagnostics and therapy

Description
The aim of the work is the development electrodeposition cell and subsequent preparation of the target which ran by electrodeposition of Ni at a gold disc in galvanostatic mode (30-100 mA) in tris-electrode involvement. The quality of the surface layer was determined by SEM and optical microscopy. On irradiation of the target with protons is used cyclotron IBA 18/9. For fixing the target device is used COSTIS that is installed on an external volume. The aim is to obtain a homogeneous bundle over an area 1.2 cm2 with energy below 15 MeV protons.
