Limit properties of Feynman integrals in noncovariant algebraic gauges

We show that the Leibbrandt-Mandelstam prescription for the spurious singularity (nxk)-1 in the algebraic noncovariant gauges tends indeed to the Cauchy principal value when n0→0, at variance with a claim that recently appeared in the literature. The possible relation with renormalization in the light-cone case is discussed
