Mechanisms of induced Λ-hyperon decay revisited: contribution of correlated two-pion exchange
Description
Intermediate-range forces operating in the weak conversion process Λ N → N N are investigated. Contribution of correlated two-pion exchange is calculated. Two-pion forces affect most noticeably weak Λ N → N N transitions where experimental data point out violations of the ΔI = 1/2 rule. 17 refs., 2 figs., 2 tabs
