Solidification of neutron matter
Creators
Description
A t-matrix calculation of the ground-state energy of cold neutron matter has been performed and it is shown that neutron matter solidifies at a density of the order of 1.6 × 10¹⁵ g/cm³, thus implying the existence of a solid core inside heavy neutron stars.
