Cigarette smoke and plutonium

Description
Cigarette-smoke-exposed rats and beagle dogs retain greater amounts of inhaled 239PuO2 in their lungs than do animals with no smoke exposure. Autoradiographic techniques with liquid photographic emulsion and cellulose nitrate track-etch film are being used to determine what effect cigarette-smoke exposure has on spatial distribution of plutonium particles in the lung. 3 figures
