Description

The development work on coaxial cavity gyrotrons has demonstrated the feasibility for manufacturing of a 2 MW, CW 170 GHz tube as could be used for ITER. Within this work the problems specific to the coaxial arrangement have been investigated and all relevant information needed for an industrial realization of a 2 MW coaxial gyrotron has been obtained. A first integrated design on such a tube has been done. (authors)
