Michigan 239: a peculiar extragalactic or extreme halo star

Description

The faint emission-line star Michigan 239 is strangely placed with respect to our Galaxy. It shows low-excitation emission lines and has an infrared excess. It may be a runaway Population I (B[e]) star in the Galaxy's halo. (author)
