Characterization of fractional mutations in Drosophila melanogaster : Effect of fractionation of dose, dose rate of x-ray and mitomycin C in post-meiotic broods
- 1. Calcutta Univ. (India). Dept. of Zoology
Description
The effects of dose, fractionation of dose and dose rate of X-rays and of mitomycin C (MC) pre- and post-treatment on the induction of fractional mutations at 12 specific loci of the X-chromosome of D, melanogaster in the post-meiotic broods have been examined and compared with the induction of complete mutations under the same experimental conditions. Results show that the 2 mutational types differ from each other in response to all conditions. (author)
