On the structure of the NNπ vertex

Description
We obtain an upper limit Λmax ≅ 650 MeV for the cutoff mass of the monopole form factor at the (suitably on-mass shell) NNπ vertex based essentially only on the assumption of the boson nature of the pion. Different choices of the corresponding multimeson cloud expansion of the nucleon wave function are discussed in order to check the validity of this result. (orig.)
