Description
Neutron diffraction studies of proteins have made important contributions to the understanding of the mechanism of protein functions. The experimental technique is briefly described and also its applications in determining protonation states of active sites and hydrogen-deuterium exchange in proteins in studies of enzymatic sites and protein dynamics.
