Genetic effects of low level irradiation

Description
The genetic effects of low level irradiation can not be derived directly from man. Instead, calculations are limited to studies on mice, Drosophila, rats, guinea pigs, swine, and the Japanese exposed at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The available data indicate that man is not a uniquely radiosensitive species. This paper gives an overview of some of the problems of the potential genetic hazards of low levels of ionizing radiation to man and makes predictions, based on the existing data, of the genetic damage irradiation may have on man.
