Neutrino and electron induced reactions in nuclei
Description
The ratio of proton-to-neutron neutrino-induced nuclear quasielastic yield is sensitive to both the strange axial form factor and the strange Pauli form factor of the nucleon. The effect of final state interactions due to charge-exchange reactions on the ratio is small and can be checked by investigating electron-induced quasi-elastic knock-out of protons and neutrons. The theoretical analysis of the reaction mechanism is made possible by employing Sturmian functions which allow to treat in the nuclear continuum finite-range interactions derived from a meson-exchange potential
