Decays of neutron deficient gadolinium isotopes
Creators
- 1. McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Description
Gamma and electron spectroscopy have been used to study β- and γ-decay of neutron-deficient Gd and Eu because of the proposed 64-proton shell closure. The Gd isotopes were produced via the 144Sm(3He,xn)147-/sup x/Gd and the 112Sn(32S,2pxn)142-/sup x/Gd reactions at the Foster Radiation Laboratory (McGill University, Montreal) and the MP Tandem at the Chalk River Nuclear Laboratories, respectively
