Zusammenfassung: Der Schwerpunkt dor Arbeiten lag bei der Herstellung und Untersuchung von partikelgefüllten Brennelementen. In den ersten beiden Monaten des Berichtszeitraumes wurden die Versuche zum Granulieren, Schmelzen und Beschiohton von Partikeln noch teilweise im Rahmen des Entwicklungsaufträges ausgeführt und werden daher zusammen mit den Kontrollmessungen an Partikeln in den ersten drei Unterkapiteln geschildert. Die Herstellung und Beschichtung der Partikeln sowie die Entwicklung neuer Testverfahren, wurde im Laufe des Berichtszeitraumes ganz von anderen Kostenträgern übernommen. Die im folgenden beschriebenen Einfüllversuche betrafen vor allem das Hohlkugelelement; an Hohlkugelelementen sowie in kleinerem Umfang an Ringspaltelementen wurden verschiedene Eigenschaften genauer untersucht, vor allem Partikelvorteilung, Fallfestigkeit und Wärmeleitfähigkeit.
