Fallout prediction as of 1957

Description

The development of models by which to predict fallout from tests of nuclear devices in the atmosphere has evolved from better understanding of the processes and from evaluation of data from previous explosions. The development of the models as of operation Plumbbob (1957) is discussed in the report, as well as a brief description of the models in use at that time. The draft report written in 1957 is being published as part of an effort to document atmospheric nuclear test data
