Description

The dynamic behavior of vortices in the high-Tc cuprates YBa2Cu3O6.5 and Y1-xPrxBa2Cu3O6.97 have been investigated over an unprecedented temperature - field range by means of electrical transport measurements in magnetic fields up to 45 tesla. The magnitude of the displacement of a single flux line due to quantum fluctuations of the vortex core in each system has been found and is seen to increase with temperature along the vortex-glass melting transition
