Dileptons are the most clear probes for the investigation of the early phases of high-energy heavy-ion collisions because they leave the reaction zone essentially undistorted by the final-state interactions. The production of dileptons in nucleon-nucleon (N N)collisions within an effective Lagrangian approach are studied
