Phenomenological analysis of binding energies of Ξ hypernuclei
Description
The ground-state (GS) binding energies of the Ξhyperon in a few known Ξ- hypernuclei are calculated by solving Schroedinger and Dirac equations with phenomenological Ξ- nucleus potential of Woods-Saxon shape. The calculated binding energies are in good agreement with the experimental values. The optimal well depth of Ξ--nucleus potential is extracted: UΞ- = 23.9 MeV
