Development of standards and investigation of safety examination items for advancement of safety regulation of fast breeder reactor
Description
The purposes of this study are to prepare the fuel technical standard and the structure and materials standard of fast breeder reactors (FBR), and to develop the requirements in a reactor establishment permission. The objects of this study are mainly the Monju high performance core and a demonstration FBR. In JFY 2011, the following results were obtained. As for the fuel technical standard, the draft version of the fuel technical standard adapting the examination of integrity of the FBR fuels was prepared based on the information and data obtained in this study. As for the structure and material standard, the investigation of the revised parts of the standard was carried out. And as for the examination of the safety requirements, safety evaluation items for the future FBR plant and the fission products to be considered in a reactor establishment permission were investigated and examined.
