Description

An extended time-dependent Hartree-Fock theory based on the density-matrix formalism and the Vlasov-Uehling-Uhlenbeck model are applied to two collective modes of semi-infinite two-dimensional nuclei: a compressional mode of a single nucleus and a collision of symmetric nuclei. Similarities and differences of the quantal and the semi-classical results are discussed. (orig.)
