On the fine structure of inelastic scattering angular distributions

Description

The angular distributions of 29 MeV 3He particles elastically and inelastically scattered from a 68Zn target have been measured with high angular resolution. A fine structure of the diffraction oscillation observed could not be detected. Various suggestions for the origin of such a fine structure seen in α-particle scattering experiments are discussed.
