Subsurface laboratory for long-term natural tests of solidified radioactive wastes
Description
The possibility of building a specialized subsurface laboratory for long-term natural tests of solidified radioactive wastes is discussed. Its use will enable information on the migration of the radionuclides in various soils to be obtained, on the reliability of burial in shallow pits to be quantitatively evaluated, and on the natural conditions for burying solidified wastes in various regions with different geological conditions to be modeled
