Cost/benefit analysis for dynamic testing in the Fast Flux Test Facility
Description
Dynamic tests are being considered for the Fast Flux Test Facility (FFTF). The assembly of a mathematical model, parameter sensitivity studies, planning the dynamic tests, and the estimation of the cost for the tests were performed. Models were developed with different treatments of the fuel heat transfer. Different representations of the reactivity feedback effects were formulated. The models were used to compute time responses and frequency responses for FFTF. The model has also been used to assess the sensitivity of the response to the values used for important system parameters
