A summary of the associations between work exposures and heart diseases is presented. The substances discussed include carbon monoxide, nitrates, carbon disulfide, hydrocarbons/fluorocarbons, cold/heat, noise, vibration, ionizing radiations, fibrogenic dusts; antimony, arsenic, cadmium, cobalt, lead, and mercury. These are discussed in terms of risk and the cardiovascular abnormality or disease involved. 117 references, 1 table
