Description

Shaking table test on the ultimate behavior of the seismically isolated FBR plant is carried out. 1/15 scaled structure model, rigid body supported by eight lead rubber bearings, is excited by the amplified design earthquake until the bearing is ruptured. Through this study, the ultimate behavior and the safety margin of this system are verified. (author)
