Acidic solution for uranium ore leaching
Description
An acid solution is described for leaching uranium ores, containing one or more mineral acids. The chlorine content in one cubic metre of the solution is within the range of 0.05 to 35 kg. The claim consists in the use of the oxidation abilities of chlorine (solvated elemental chlorine or hypochlorous acid) for the oxidation of uranium and of the formation of hydrochloric and hypochlorous acids in reaction of chlorine with water.
