Safeguards aspects of separation of PT. Inuki's radioisotopes laboratory (KMP-D) from the RSG-GAS reactor (MBA RI-C)

Description

Center Multipurpose Reactor (PRSG) is responsible for the GA Siwabessy Multipurpose reactor (RSG-GAS) as the research reactor, which is one Material: Balance Area (MBA RI-C) managers of nuclear material and the dury to implement the commitments system of safeguards of nuclear materials in accordance BAPETEN Chairman Regulatory No. 4, 2011 on safeguards system. Separation of PT. Inuki's radioisotope laboratory as Key Measurement Point-D (KMP-D) from the RSG-GAS Reactor (MBA RI-C) is very influential on safeguards aspects. It needs to be made for a review of the system for recording aspects of the safeguards of nuclear material, nuclear material reporting system and a physical examination of nuclear material at the radioisotope laboratory KMP-D. Results of the review showed that the separation of the radioisotope laboratory KMP-D from MBA RI-C is an activity that supports the implementation of safeguards in the RSG-GAS reactor as an item facility. Because as an item centre facility then Material Unaccounted For (MUF) does not occur during the use of nuclear material in nuclear reactor operation due to the material used in the form of a bundle of nuclear fuel elements. Thus the separation of the radioisotope laboratory (KMP-D) from the MBA RI-C to generate its own MBA implementation of safeguards are complete and correctness. (author)
