Description

As a result of the heterogeneous distribution of bubbles in the horizontal air-water bubbly flow, the wall shear stress was different along the circumference of tube. Based on the experiment result and homogeneous model used as base function, a model was developed and applied to predict the circumferential variation of the wall shear stress in horizontal bubbly flows. The predictions agreed well with the measurements with an error less than 10%. (authors)
