Methods for checking radioimmunoassays

A survey of literature data is given on checking radioimmunoassay techniques. Prerequisites are summarized of the correct RIA, mainly as concerns the properties and quality of the basic substances, the nature of the analyzed sample, the choice of optimal determination conditions and the quality of determination. Basic methods and parameters of determining the RIA correctness are shown and their practical significance is discussed. A system of checks has been proposed for RIA correctness including the central and local checks, not excluding inter-laboratory tests. (J.P.)
