Effect of complexing agents on the extraction of Th, U, Zr by TTA-xylene [Paper No. RA-6]

Description

The distribution ratios of Th, U, Zr between 0.2 MTTA in xylene and a solution containing a mixture of nitric acid and sodium salts of acetic acid, citric acid, were determined. Using this data an extraction and separation procedure for Th from U and Zr and its spectrophotometric determination in the TTA extract with thoron is reported. Standard deviation is found to be +- 2 per cent. (author)
