Technological process development of repair and property recovery of gas turbine engine compressor blades from EP866SH steel with the use of intense pulsed electron beams

Description

It is shown that intense pulsed electron beam of microsecond duration is a high effective instrument for repair of compressor blades. Application of intense pulsed electron beam allows one to ablate per a pulse the surface layers oxidized during operating. Thickness of the ablated layer of their parts at the energy density of 48-50 J/cm2 during a pulse is equal to 7 μm. (authors)
