Investigation of Tl-As-Te system along Tl-As2Te3 cross section

Description

Interaction in the Tl-As-Te system along with Tl-As2Te3 cross section has been studied by the methods of differential thermal and X-ray phase analyses of microhardness and microstructure. This cross section is shown to be quasi-binary and it is characterized by the presence of Tl5As2Te3 and Tl3As2Te3 ternary compounds congruently melting at 445 deg C and formed according to the peritectic reaction. The range of stratification with the monotectic temperature of 404 deg C has been found out along with the phase transformation of α-Tl into β-Tl
