EMF-Study of thermodynamics of solid solution La0.8Ag0.1MnO3+δ using solid electrolyte

Description
By the solid electrolyte electrochemical cell EMF method the thermodynamics of silver ions inculcation into lanthanum manganate in the temperature range 850-1123 K was studied. Based on experimentally determined EMF temperature dependence, thermodynamic parameters of the reaction under oxygen pressure of (P(O2)) 0.21 and 1 atm were calculated. It is shown that even small increase in P(O2) increases essentially stability of the solid solution La0.8Ag0.1MnO3+δ, which is explained by considerable reduction of the entropy contribution
Abstract (Russian)
Методом ЭДС электрохимической ячейки с твердым электролитом исследована термодинамика реакции внедрения ионов серебра в манганит лантана в интервале температур 850-1123 K. На основе экспериментально определенной температурной зависимости ЭДС вычислены термодинамические параметры этой реакции при давлении кислорода (P(O2)) 0.21 и 1 атм. Показано, что даже небольшое повышение P(O2) значительно увеличивает устойчивость твердого раствора La0.8Ag0.1MnO3+δ, что обусловлено значительным уменьшением энтропийного вкладаAdditional details
