Probabilistic safety assessment of the Kozloduy NPP units 3 and 4
Description
The aim of the carried out probabilistic safety analyses of Kozloduy NPP units 3 and 4 is determination of probability for reactor core accident. The impact of the Secondary Emergency Feedwater System on the probability for reactor core accident is analysed. In the last five years the implementation of the modernization programme for units 3 and 4 has leaded to a steady trend for their safety improvement. A comparison between the obtained results for probabilistic safety analyses of Kozloduy NPP units 3 and 4 and the assessment for other WWER units is done. It is proved that the Kozloduy NPP units are on the same safety level with the similar ones in the developed countries
