Description
U3Si2-Al fuel plates are recommendatory new fuels, which is the first time to use in China. Its properties, especially thermal stability of fuels, have to be tested by experiments. Thickness, volume, and metallographic phase measurements of U3Si2-Al fuel plates with uranium density 3.02 g/cm3 have been carried out at different temperatures during rated operation cycle. These test data will give important parameters for structure design, safe analysis and manufacture techniques of fuels, and supply references on the running of the fuel in reactor. (authors)
