Study of phase formation in the Na3NbO4-LaNbO4 system

Description
Phase formation in high-temperature (600-1660 Deg C) range of phase diagram of the Na3NbO4-LaNbO4 system has been studied by the methods of X-ray phase and visual-thermal analyses. Two previously unknown phases Na6LaNb3O12(1) and Na3LaNb2O8(2) have been revealed. It is ascertained that compound 1 does not undergo phase transformations being stable up to melting point of 1660 Deg C. Compound 2 exists solely at high temperatures, below 750 Deg C it decomposes in solid phase into compound 1 and LaNbO4. Sequence of phase transformations resulting in preparation of compounds 1 and 2 is considered
Abstract (Russian)
Методами рентгенофазового и визуально-термического анализов изучено фазообразование в высокотемпературной области (600-1660 град С) фазовой диаграммы системы Na3NbO4-LaNbO4. Обнаружены две неизвестные ранее фазы Na6LaNb3O12(1) и Na3LaNb2O8(2). Установлено, что соединение 1 не претерпевает фазовых превращений и устойчиво до температуры плавления 1660 град С. Соединение 2 существует только при высоких температурах, ниже 750 град С оно реализуется в твердой фазе на соединение 1 и LaNbO4.
