Characteristic images in quantitive brain scintigraphy
Description
An empirical method for the computer assisted evaluation of quantitative first pass brain scintigraphy is presented. On the basis of a pixel by pixel Fourier transformation of the data series parametric images are calculated which characterize the time activity changes during the bolus passage within the brain. The time of maximum activity gradient has turned out to be the most useful parameter for standardized presentation of regional perfusion abnormalities by means of calculated images. (orig.)

Es wird ein empirisches Computerverfahren zur standardisierten Auswertung von Hirn-Sequenzszintigrammen vorgestellt. Hierbei werden nach pixelweise durchgefuehrter Fouriertransformation ausgewaehlte Parameter, welche den zeitlichen Ablauf der Boluspassage charakterisieren, als statisches Bild dargestellt. Als aussagekraeftigster und am leichtesten zu interpretierender Parameter hat sich der Zeitpunkt des maximalen Aktivitaetsanstiegs erwiesen. (orig.)Additional details
