Collimated dosemeter. Performance, design, measuring technique and result processing

Description

The dosemeter for remote measurement of gamma radiation flux density and following calculation of equivalent dose rate (EDR) is designed. The device consists of the lead casing, in which the scintillator, photoelectron multiplier and divider with preamplifier and measurer are arranged. The main difference of the dosemeter from the commercially produced ones is the presence of the shield with collimator. The problems of the dosemeter calibration and measurement result processing for EDR calculation are discussed in detail. The technique described provides for EDR mapping, evaluating the contributions of different sources into EDR and forecasting its change depending on measures realized. 6 tabs
