First turn capability applied to a commercially available electron beam position monitor processing system

  • 1. CCLRC, Daresbury Laboratory, Warrington, WAD 4AD (United Kingdom)

Description

Presented in this paper is an account of preliminary work that has been conducted at Daresbury Laboratory UK, to evaluate the performance, and worth, of a first turn capability option that is offered for use with a commercial source of Electron Beam Position Monitoring signal-processing electronics. The option, offered as a Single Button Sampling facility, requires an additional cyclic button address system, details of which are presented, together with sample button signal waveforms
