Description
The progress of the waste management programme is supervised by the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The Finnish Centre for Radiation and Nuclear Safety is responsible for supervision of the safety of plants and activities. The major facilities are licensed by the Government. Part of the research work is funded by the Ministry in order to maintain independent expertise for the supervision of the programme of the waste producers
