A variable geometry multipocket collector for electromagnetic sector separators
Description
A multipocket arrangement was developed for the simultaneous collection of isotopes over the maximum possible mass range which allows proportional variation of all absolute interpocket distances when the relative distances are given. Thus the variation of beam distances, which, due to the angular dispersion of the separator, is coupled with any longitudinal shift of the collector, can be compensated for. (Auth.)
