Nuclear fuel cycle technology
Description
Establishment of the nuclear fuel cycle is indispensable for promoting nuclear power generation in Japan. For that purpose, the Japan Nuclear Fuel Service Co. (JNFS) and the Japan Nuclear Fuel Industries Co. (JNFI) are promoting the construction of three-key nuclear fuel cycle facilities. Toshiba supports this national policy and is promoting development of fuel cycle technology in response to requests of the Power Reactor and Nuclear Fuel Development Co. (PNC), JNFS, Laser Atomic Separation Enrichment Research Association of Japan (JASERJ), and others. In regard to reprocessing main items are aseismatic centrifugal clarifiers, high-precision non-destructive assay instruments, and high-efficiency plutonium conversion equipments. Henceforth, we hope to contribute to the development of reprocessing technology and the construction of reprocessing plants. (author)
