A study of recursive digital filtering in time domain. Application to matched filters synthesis
Description
In a first part, digital filters are defined as linear operators commutative with translations in the Hilbert space BL2. Then Recursive Digital Filters are introduced as a subset corresponding to digital filters described by a difference equation satisfying to some conditions. The second part is devoted to the description of a method for computing coefficients of a recursive digital filter from a pattern in the time-domain. Different variants are studied and their results are compared. Last part is an investigation of problems regarding technological realization of recursive digital filters, particularly the question of stability. A design of programmable recursive digital filter is given; performances of this design are tested in a simulation of a detection problem by matched filtering. (author)
Abstract (French)
Dans une premiere partie on definit les filtres numeriques en tant qu'operateurs lineaires commutables avec les translations dans l'espace de Hilbert BL2 (espace des fonctions de carre sommable a spectre uniformement borne). On introduit ensuite les filtres numeriques recursifs comme sous-ensemble correspondant aux filtres numeriques repondant a une equation aux differences soumise a certaines conditions. La deuxieme partie est consacree a la description d'une methode de calcul des coefficients d'un filtre numerique recursif a partir d'un gabarit donne dans le domaine temporel. On etudie differentes variantes de la methode, en comparant leurs performances. La derniere partie est une etude des problemes relatifs a la realisation technologique des filtres numeriques recursifs, en particulier des questions de stabilite. On donne un projet de realisation d'un filtre numerique recursif dont on peut programmer la reponse par affichage des coefficients; les performances de ce projet sont testees au cours d'une simulation d'un probleme de detection par filtrage adapte.
