Description

The Electron Accelerator Laboratory of the National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics, and the Department of Technology of Organic and Macromolecular Compounds of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest are involved in the R and D activity on the acid gases (SO2 and NOx) removal by electron beam and microwave methods. The research project titled 'VOC removal by combined electron beam and microwave treatment' is part of the IAEA Coordinated Research Project on Electron Beam Treatment of Organic Pollutants Contained in Gaseous Streams. The preliminary results obtained and the future work under the CRP are also presented. (author)
