Contribution to establishment of reference levels in vascular diagnostic and interventional radiology

Description

Objective: to explore the possibility to establish levels of reference for the procedures of diagnosis and interventional vascular radiology. Results: The levels of reference are respectively for the coronaries radiography with and without left ventriculography of 55 Gy.cm2, 5.5 min and 1000 images and 50 Gy.cm2, 17.5 min and 1680 images for arteriography of inferior members with and without angioplasty of 180 Gy.cm2, 20.5 min and 290 images and 130 Gy.cm2, 6.0 min, 190 images for uterine embolization of 320 Gy.cm2, 28.5 min and 350 images and for vertebro-plasty of 60 Gy.cm2, 410.0 min and 10 images. Conclusion: this study confirms the possibility to implement levels of reference in diagnosis and interventional vascular radiology. this approach must lead to harmonize the technical parameters of these procedures and then contributes to optimization.
