Reactor pressure vessels dosimetry and surveillance program on NPP Temelin (WWER-1000)

Description

A more complex approach was applied to the reactor pressure vessels (RPV) dosimetry program of the Temelin NPP. Neutron spectrum and flux density are measured simultaneously in the surveillance containers and in the reactor cavity. The surveillance and ex-vessel neutron dosimetry are furthermore complemented with activation measurement during the reactor startup. All the three topics are briefly discussed in this paper: New features of the surveillance program (surveillance containers inserted in the core midplane vicinity close to the RPV surface with supposed loading factor 2.5 -3.5), the ex-vessel neutron fluence monitoring system, and the startup measurement.
