Na A zeolite preparation on laboratory scale, from local raw materials

The system x Na2 O y Si O-2 z Al2 O3 w H2 O, where 2 ≤ x ≤ 5; 1,5 ≤ y ≤3; 0,75 ≤ z ≤ 1,5 e w = 160, was experimentally studied with the purpose of preparing the zeolite Na A. The nature of the sources of the silicon, aluminium, and sodium, as well as, the changes of the concentration in the gel composition was analyzed. The results of the preparation, were characterized by x-ray diffraction powder method. The results demonstrated the viability of the preparing of zeolite Na A, with local metacaulinite. (author)
