Study of the sawtooth activity on PETULA with a fast infrared interferometer

Creators

Description

Density fluctuations due to sawtooth activity in tokamak ohmic discharges are observed with a fast FIR interferometer. A density variation profile is compared to the total reconnection model. The density scaling of sawtooth amplitude and period is tentatively analysed in terms of a change of the Q = 1 surface radius
