  • 1. Handan Central Hospital, Handan (China)

Description

Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics and therapeutic effect of iodine 125 seeds implantation in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Methods: 30 patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer in our hospital from November 2014 to November 2015 were selected as the subjects. CT guided radioactive iodine 125 particle therapy were applied on these patients. All patients were followed up for 3 months, 6 months and 12 months after the operation. The clinical efficacy of CT was then observed. Results: Among 30 cases of patients with lung cancer, at 3 months after surgery, the clinical total effective rate was 93.3%, while after 6 months of 80%, after 12 months of 63.3%. Also, the recent occurrence of adverse reactions were found in 11 cases puncture point bleeding, cases of pneumothorax, cases of pneumothorax, hemoptysis in 5 cases. There were no pulmonary infection, pleural effusion and other serious complications, also no particle displacement. Conclusion: CT guided percutaneous radioactive iodine 125 particles can be used in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer, its clinical curative effect is remarkable, and causing small trauma, reducing the incidence of adverse reactions, and improving patients' quality of life.
